Designed especially for older residents, this gentle-paced stroll offers an opportunity to discover the rich diversity of urban planting in the City.

Join Age UK City of London for a relaxed and sociable guided walk exploring the planting and green spaces around the Golden Lane and Barbican area. Designed especially for older residents, this gentle-paced stroll offers an opportunity to discover the rich diversity of urban planting within the City in a comfortable and accessible way.
Led by City of London Guide - Sarah Williams Robbins, with contributions from Urban Tree Festival Directors Paul Wood and Sara Hayes, the walk will conclude with an informal café visit—creating space for conversation, connection, and community.
This event supports wellbeing by reducing social isolation while strengthening partnerships between Age UK City of London, local guides, and the Urban Tree Festival.

Sarah is an accredited City of London Green Badge guide and storyteller, known for bringing the Square Mile’s 2,000-year history to life through engaging walking tours. With a degree in ancient history and a background in communications, she has worked with organisations including the BBC, NHS and children’s mental health charity Place2Be. Passionate about both heritage and wellbeing, Sarah specialises in tours that explore the City’s hidden alleyways, architecture, and green spaces, encouraging people to connect with London’s history in a lively and accessible way.
