Your mission is to record a short 3 minute story using your mobile phone voice recorder, and the story format is simple:

You have been isolated from humans for weeks now, and you stumble upon a hapless elephant who is eating your favourite urban tree in London. Tell us how, together you and your elephant find hope.

In this short online session on Location-Based Storytelling, David Merleau will guide you through the process of crafting your piece, and you will be encouraged to visit your favorite urban forest area in person for “site-specific” inspiration.  The goal is for you to create a work that challenges the awareness you have of your ecological environment as you teleport listeners to experience your favorite tree.

Some of your contributions will be uploaded to the Festival website throughout the week as teasers, and all of the stories will be geo-located on the Elephant Adventure Digital Map (available for the last weekend), so Festival goers can experience where your elephant found you.  Access the free mobile web-app here: www.cgeomap.eu/elephantadventure  Read the workshop handout here
