Join CPRE London along the national cycle route in south London, for this inclusive nature cycle suitable for all. Event supported by the Mayor of London.

Event Information

Our journey will begin and end at Herne Hill Velodrome. We will ride through Dulwich Park, Friern Road/ Barry Road, stopping by Peckham Rye Park with Chris Schüler, who will introduce you to the vibrant trees with rich heritage, and the wild flora and fauna that exist around us right in the heart of Peckham, also stopping by for lunch at Peckham Round Café. We will then head back, using Court Lane on the return journey.

By looking at everything from native and naturalised trees, to the tiniest plants sprouting from cracks in the pavement, you'll add to your knowledge of the local area, learn about what you share your home with, and gain an increased understanding and appreciation of London's wildlife. Plants are just as crafty, determined and devious as animals are when they're after something, we just need to take the time to stop and notice them.

This event is jointly led by Wheels for Wellbeing, a charity who have worked with thousands of Disabled children and adults who face barriers to taking part in any physical activity and have shown that anyone can enjoy cycling, given the right equipment, support and environment.

They will provide the cycling equipment you'll need. So before joining us for the event, you'll need to meet with Wheels for Wellbeing for an assessment to make sure you have a cycle that works for your individual needs. To book your assessment, contact mark@wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk or call 0207 346 8482

PLEASE NOTE, you will not be able to join us for the event if you need an adapted bike but have not had an assessment with Wheels for Wellbeing so something suitable can be provided.
