The Urban Tree Festival Moves Online

In the light of the current situation, we have had to cancel the majority of the main, social, outdoor Urban Tree Festival activities we have planned, along with submissions through our open call

This has meant we have had to rethink and redesign the Festival. As organisers, we are united in our determination that the Festival must go ahead, and we believe that together we can make the third Urban Tree Festival a huge success.

With this in mind we will deliver as many events as we can. This means virtual walks, self-guided trails, video, writing, online participatory events, apps and social media. We plan to be as creative as we can and deliver our events virtually for everyone to enjoy and, we hope, feel supported during a difficult time.

The UTF will come into your house! The benefits of trees and the health and wellbeing aspects of being outdoors can still be activated. Through imagination, visualisation, writing, storytelling and many other mediums we plan to bring the festival to you.

If you would like to submit an idea for our virtual Festival, please use our Virtual Open Call form.

We look forward to hearing from you!

If things change before May we will try and put on as many of the events as possible and run our final day celebration at Bell House.
