Tree Song Project | Community Singing Workshop

A celebration of the City’s trees is coming to the Culture Mile this May.

🎤 No previous singing experience is necessary.

⌚ Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time as the session will start promptly at 12.15pm.

🌲 This spring, we are hosting this lunchtime singing workshop, encouraging City workers and residents to find their voices, inspired by the wonders of nature on the doorstep. Expect to learn some tree-themed songs in a relaxed and friendly environment.

🌳 The Square Mile is most often associated with finance, yet this historic setting is also home to an array of wonderful tree species, pocket parks and gardens. Through a combination of nature-themed walks, site-specific musical performance and singing workshops, the Tree Song Project invites you to discover, admire and be inspired by the variety of trees that provide shade, habitat, oxygen and beauty in the heart of the City.

🤝 The Tree Song Project was conceived by eco artist Phoebe Coco. Phoebe is collaborating with City guide Sarah Williams-Robbins (aka Mrs Londoner) to bring this celebration of nature to the Culture Mile and invites City workers, as well as with visitors and residents, to join them. These Tree Song Project events offer an uplifting break from the office, workplace or home and aim to bring people together and to promote a greater interest in - and respect for - the important species and green havens in the historic Culture Mile neighbourhood.

Phoebe Coco

Phoebe Coco is a London-based composer, singer and sound artist creating immersive, nature-inspired work that blends voice, folk and electronic elements. Her practice spans performance, installation and site-specific composition, often shaped by collaboration and ecological themes.

She is part of the Breathing Space Collective and leads Tree Song, a project exploring connections between people, place and trees through voice and participatory sound.

Sarah Williams-Robbins

Accredited City of London guide Sarah Williams-Robbins, aka Mrs Londoner. Sarah's professional career is in communications and health promotion. A keen gardener, she enjoys showing visitors and residents the wonderful pocket parks and trees in the City, on her nature-themed wellbeing walks. Follow Sarah's adventures on Instagram.

The Tree Song Project

The Tree Song Project is an interdisciplinary arts initiative celebrating trees through music, performance, and installation, led by Phoebe Coco. It collaborates with City of London guide Sarah Williams-Robbins to create nature-focused walking experiences that promote wellbeing, environmental awareness, and engagement with urban green spaces.
