Urban Forest Frontline Reports

from around the globe

Check back everyday for further Urban Forest Frontline Reports

As the COVID pandemic crossed the world, and the organisers of the Urban Tree Festival, rather than abandoning the Festival, instead moved it on-line, we invited enthusiasts like ourselves, who have a passion for trees and who live in urban areas, to create reports from and about trees where they live.

Below you will find these reports - and please, if you too would like to report from your ‘neck of the woods’ please make a short 10 minutes audio piece, narrated slideshow, or video and WeTransfer it to reports@urbantreefestival.org

Close your eyes and be immersed in the urban world of trees.

With the help of enthusiastic tree lovers in local groups we intend to map dozens more trees which deserve to be celebrated for their rarity, beauty or history. The city's National Collection of Elms includes 17,000 of some of the most rare, spectacular types anywhere in the world.
