Join us for an engaging online webinar with Mark Johnston, who has spent a lifetime connecting people with trees. Through his pioneering work in urban forestry and urban greening, Mark has developed innovative approaches that bring together communities, nature, and the arts.
Many of his city-wide projects have incorporated creative activities as a powerful way to bridge social divides and engage wider audiences. From open-air festivals and community murals to painting and creative writing competitions, wood sculpture, and storytelling, the arts have played a key role in communicating the value of trees and the environment.
In this session, Mark will share a range of inspiring examples from cities including Belfast, London, and Dublin, offering insight into how creativity can be used to strengthen connections between people and the urban landscape.
