Woodlands Signdance Workshop

with Signdance Collective

A fun, one hour, inclusive, creative workshop combining basic sign gestures and dance, inspired by urban woodland ecosystems. Designed for ages 13 upwards we will learn some basic BSL woodland nature signs, create our own signs and then combine these into a short Signdance piece about our own favourite urban trees.

Organisation: Signdance Collective International

Signdance Collective is an award winning, international touring performance company that was established in 2001. The company is culturally diverse with a team of experienced deaf and disabled artists at the helm.

In 2020 Signdance created''The Essence Of Time' project,  a  local-national/international virtual engagement multi-art, digital exchange project which took inspiration from our outdoor lived environment, be that urban or rural. It reconnects us as a creative to the natural world and to the way we have interfered and greedily exploited the gifts of nature. These videos can be seen on the signdance collective website
