Community Fungi Cultivation

Event Information

This practical mushroom cultivation workshop will introduce participants to a range of low-tech, sustainable & accessible techniques for growing fungi.

The session will include 2-3 practical activities that are enjoyable for all ages and abilities. Participants will be able to take home their own re-usable grow kit, contribute to an outdoor community cultivation system & learn how to clone supermarket mushrooms at home, for free!

LMP (London Mycology Project) approaches mushroom cultivation differently than most; we do not use single-use plastic or rely on sterile procedures. We teach practical fungi education for food, soil and community. We're here to re-design the future of food and climate with fungi, fostering skills in climate resilience, food security and a regenerative future.

LMP is a female-led fungi cultivation initiative, building a network of fungi cultivators across London, growing a movement of urban regenerative mycology to build climate resilience from the ground up. We teach creative, outdoor community-led cultivation for food security, soil rejuvenation and pollution reduction through the power of fungi.
