We’re excited to launch the first ever Urban Tree Festival exhibition, hosted at Art Hub Studios in New Cross. The exhibition will be open throughout the festival bringing together art, ideas and events rooted in the theme of the urban forest.
Includes a pop-up cafe run by our student intern team for tea, coffee and cake.

We’re excited to launch the first ever Urban Tree Festival exhibition, hosted at Art Hub Studios in New Cross, a new festival long hub bringing together art, ideas and events rooted in the them of the urban forest.

Meet the Urban Tree Festival team, explore the exhibition and celebrate the opening night.

About the Exhibition
The Urban Forest Exhibition brings together artists exploring trees, landscapes and urban nature in unexpected and creative ways.
Throughout the festival, Art Hub Studios becomes a welcoming base - a place to pause, gather and experience the festival from within.
A pop-up café run by our intern team will be open daily, serving tea, coffee and cake
We’ll also be hosting: Curator’s tours, Live-streamed webinars, Film screenings and Workshops.
Events from the Hub
A programme of walks and events will begin from the exhibition space, including:
Private view, opening event with a bar and some surprises planned, come along and meet the team!
Walks starting from New Cross including one with author Paul Wood.
Open day with Street Trees for Living (Saturday 9th May)
Come and spend time with the work, meet others, and experience the Urban Tree Festival from the inside out! 🌳
Contributors
Curator - Sara Hayes
This years exhibition is curated by festival director and Art Hub Studio member Sara. Sara studied a masters in fine art at the University of Suffolk (2017) and is currently working on a public art installation for the National Trust on Northey Island in Essex. Themes which inspire her include the environment and nature. She will be offering a pop-up curators tour during the festival, see social media for info.
Curators Assistant - Jane Ostler
Goldsmiths allumni and volunteer Jane has supported on the organisation of the exhibition.
Co-director - Paul Wood
Author Paul Wood is co-director of the Urban Tree Festival and will be running a walk from the location during the festival.
Student team:
Our student intern team from Goldsmiths University are supporting on the processing of the festival content, documenting and promoting events on social media. They will be running the pop-up cafe during the exhibition.

Most tickets for the Urban Tree Festival are free, but we ask attendees to please donate if they can.
We suggest a donation of £5 per event ticket and you can easily donate by clicking the donate button. Larger donations are always welcomed.
Donations are essential to running the Urban Tree Festival.
