Our 2020 logo is here!

Congratulations Ben Howell! In the face of some very stiff competition, Ben, 18, a first year Graphic Design student at Kingston University has won our 2020 logo competition.

Ben explained how he designed his logo:

“The branches of the tree are created out of a map segment, focusing around the area of Hyde Park, one of the largest green-spaces in London. In particular, this area stems from speaker’s corner to reflect the Urban Tree Festival’s exchange of knowledge throughout the various events.”

The judges were impressed by the simple, yet iconic design and felt it will work well on our website and social media and will also look great on a tee-shirt.

And what inspired Ben to enter the competition?

“There’s nothing more relevant than the environment in 2020”.

We couldn’t agree more.
