Event Information
The fight is on to save Darwin’s 550-year-old oak from a bypass. This tree near the River Severn in Shrewsbury is in the way of plans for a road linking the north and west of the town.
4km of hedgerows and an internationally-renowned wetland are threatened by a proposed new road around Shrewsbury.
Join tree hunter Rob McBride, a campaigner for the protection of the UK's ancient trees to discuss efforts to save the tree.
