Join us for a circular guided walk through the ancient woodland of Lesnes Abbey Woods, where nature and history intertwine. This immersive walk traces the remarkable journey of the woods through time — from a Site of Special Scientific Interest dating back 55 million years, to its significance during the Roman period, the changes following 1066, the founding of Lesnes Abbey, and the lasting imprint of the Victorian era.
As we explore this unique landscape, you’ll uncover layers of history hidden within the woodland, gaining a deeper appreciation for how the past continues to shape the environment we see today.
