Birmingham Botanical Gardens will facilitate a walking tour that explores fascinating tree myths and folklore from around the world. This tour is inspired by their special collection of over 500 trees.
Event Information
The Gardens are expecting 20 individuals to attend. The event is free, but participants are asked to book a general entry ticket to the gardens.
Additionally, there will be the University of Birmingham, which will be sharing information about the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research projects, as well as our volunteers sharing the Gardens Trees over Time project from a high vantage point on-site.

Sila Bolat - Conservation Ranger of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Sila Bolat has previously conducted this tour as part of the Trees Over Time project and received great feedback. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Nottingham, as well as a Level 2 Diploma in Environmental Conservation. She has also worked with the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust. Her personal interest lies in trees and folklore, and she has been researching and reading on this topic.
