Community Urban Forest - Debby Preston-Low

Long-listed written pieces of 250 words or under submitted to the 2021 Urban Tree Festival writing competition on the theme of “trees close to you”

Community Urban Forest

Glorious, arboreous,

Mysterious, superfluous,

Muck and fuss to discuss,

Habitat and chit-chat.

Forest oasis,

Sub-spaces basis,

Persuasive faces,

Trepidatious, educate us.

Tiny trees, expertise,

Very many species,

Sensorial, pictorial,

Professorial, tutorial.

Urban utopia,

Custodial testimonial,

Community scrutiny,

Care and opportunity.

Fragility, tranquillity,

Reflective soliloquy,

Tiny forest brilliancy,

Phenomenally, ‘tree-ol-ogy’.

Debby Preston-Low: New to creative writing, I'm on an unfamiliar but exciting path. Losing my voice through Parkinson's but finding expression through the written word.
