Botanical Print Making
With Sara Hayes / Urban Tree Festival
Join Urban Tree Festival’s Sara Hayes for a relaxed, hands-on botanical printmaking workshop inspired by the trees and plants of Greenwich Park.
We’ll gather fallen leaves and other suitable plant material from around the park and use them to create unique mono-prints directly from nature, exploring texture, shape, pattern and natural form.
Botanical printmaking is an accessible process that Sara uses both in her own artistic practice and in community engagement projects. The workshop is site-responsive, using locally gathered material to create a direct connection between making, landscape, ecology and place.
Suitable for children, families and adults, with no previous printmaking experience needed. Everyone can work at their own pace and create individual prints to take away.
All materials are provided.
