Tree Gratitude Workshop & Tasting Session
Led by Mama Ujuaje / Community Centred Knowledge
How often do we stop to think about the trees hidden within everyday life?
Join Mama D of Community Centred Knowledge for a participatory Tree Gratitude workshop exploring the many ways trees appear in our cities, homes, food and culture — not only as the trees we see in parks and streets, but through the fruits we eat, the furniture and materials around us, and the many tree-derived products found in food, cosmetics and everyday objects.
The session will combine conversation and storytelling with a hands-on sensory workshop, inviting participants to taste, smell and handle a selection of tree products while considering the histories, journeys and cultural connections behind them.
The workshop will lead into our informal bring-and-share community lunch at 1.00pm, offering another opportunity to exchange food, stories and experiences.
