Our daily programme

The 2026 Urban Tree Festival aims to offer a jam-packed selection of on-line and in-person events. With as many events as possible low or no-cost, and where possible 50% from tickets sold goes back into to the Tree Festival. We also rely on your generous donations to fund the festival, so if you think you could contribute please hit the donate button! 🌿 New Chapter for Urban Tree Festival 🌿

This May, Urban Tree Festival will have a dedicated home in New Cross for the duration of the festival, creating a central space for gathering, creativity and tree-focused conversation. Alongside our walks and city-wide events, we’ll be hosting a tree-themed art exhibition at the site (separate open call coming soon!), bringing artists together to explore London’s urban forest in new and unexpected ways.

Digital Tree Tour : Castle Bromwich
Download the Bloomberg Connects app and enjoy a digital trail around some of the trees in Castle Bromwich gardens and historic parkland.

London Plane Tree on Hackney Downs
Every month for nearly five years Wayne Minter photographed a London plane tree on Hackney Downs, East London from the same three spots. See the video here.

Tree Festival 2025 - CPRE Sussex
Starting at the end of April through May, with the majority of events happening in June - 45 events running across the Living Coast Unesco Biosphere in Sussex. Running from Worthing via Brighton and Hove to Newhaven and north to Lewes.

Plymouth Urban Tree Festival hosted by Plymouth Tree People
The Plymouth Urban Tree Festival is a 9-day celebration featuring free events for all ages, including guided tree walks, charcoal making, a photography competition, tree talks, films, poetry readings, and art shows.

Blossom Trail at the Coventry Peace Orchard
The Peace Orchard was created by WW11 veteran Dennis Davison in 2014 and is his legacy and reminder of why peace is so important. Open every day and visitors are welcome to wander.

London Walking Festival
The London Walking Festival takes place throughout May. During the Urban Tree Festival, we have highlighted some suitably tree-themed events.

2.00pm - Sunday 1st June - Tree Stories: A screening at the Garden Cinema – The Felling with speakers Gerit Quealy, Paul Wood, & more!, London
Join us at The Garden Cinema, near Covent Garden & Bloomsbury, for a gathering on saving urban trees, featuring ‘The Felling’, a shocking documentary on Sheffield’s tree battle, plus expert talks, tree stories, and special treats! With the Urban Tree Festival.
