Events on our 2021 programme which will benefit your mental health and well being.
Spending time outdoors with nature has been proven to benefit your mental health and wellbeing. Many of our events have a focus on using green spaces and trees to help improve your mood and mental health.
Connect with trees to inspire and refresh your mind. Use the surrounding nature to calm a busy mind. Guided by Mel Sutton an experienced yoga and meditation teacher she uses trees through meditation to evoke a sense of their strength and help soothe the nervous system.
Join this workshop to explore doodling techniques which help to reach a centred and present state. Reach your artistic state to enable yourself to listen deeply and notice more. Using predetermined images of trees, use this event to slow down and focus on mindfulness.
Get your art kit ready for this event on 15th May
This real life event is a guided walk through Downham in Lewisham. You will be led by Theresa Webb, who has knowledge on the impact plants have on our wellbeing. Learn information on the medical and wellbeing uses of the plants and trees you encounter in Downham.
Explore the human health benefits of the Tilia tree which has been spoken about through history through this talk with Hannah Sylvester, a specialist in connecting people with nature.

This event helps you take time to slow down and feel nature enhancing your senses. Guided by Andrew Jenkins who specialises in nature therapy join this event to learn techniques which build connections with nature to reduce stress and anxiety.
Relax and book Forest Bathing which takes place on the 21st and 22nd May
A self guided mindful tree exploration. This guided tree-inspired meditation will help you practice mindfulness and embodiment tools that you can use to slow down and connect with the natural world. The techniques you learn can be used again when you next walk amongst trees giving you the ability to more successfully interact with the nature surrounding you.

Connecting with your inner tree
Use this session to connect with the earth beneath your feet. Yoga teacher and holistic health practitioner Ciara will help you seek your inner tree. Through movement, guidance to spark your imagination and breathing practices you will feel more connected to your body.
